I feel like there's something I'm forgetting to say

Today has the weirdness factor of any given Friday. I got into my car at 3:10 pm and noticed a sheet of lined notebook paper secured under the windshield wiper. Scrawled in pink ink, rather girly handwriting is

"Hey Sam:

Guess Who?"

...

Gee, I don't know, what the hell? Thanks for NOT slashing my tires, but spying on me nonetheless. It's probably Andrea. I'ma park in the same place next week and leave this admirer of sorts a note in the place of that one. Notes fucking RULE. This is asciting.

Ergh... tomorrow practice for the competition Saturday begins at 8 am and runs until 2 pm. That combined with all around sicknessosity means Marissa and I won't be getting loaded mid-afternoon and doing the dress rehearsal drunk.

Tara (my supervisor, the teacher I... am the assistant... to...) and I had a great conversation at lunch today. I'm feeling a little less intimidated by her now. What a personality. I said something, and out of the blue she's like, "So, you like to laugh a lot eh? You always laugh after, like, everything you say." And my genius ass said, "That's because it's funny!"

Oh heeeeeeeeeeeey Saaaaaaaaam.

And she laughed and said, "Yeah, I'm not criticizing, I think it's cute!" I think I do laugh a lot around her, because laughter puts everybody at ease. And by everybody, I mean myself, who is sick and only a week into this foreign environment, and so on.

Today was good though.

I got a drama studio all to myself to develop a stretching sequence for the grade 10 girls to prepare them for Hardkore Ballet 101 next week. No more Giggling Sam. I'm gonna adopt more of Sergeant Giggles persona. Eh Sarge? Rock on.

The Grade 12's were really rambunctious today. Rambunctious is a weird word to type. So is "establishment" and "banana" and do a lesser extent, "Canada" because it always comes out like "Cananananada". But I digress. I finally felt a little more comfortable speaking to the whole group, and not just because I can hide behind the "well I'm sick right now, so my performance is sub-par" kind of thing. We watched a couple crappy videos to get them in the right mindset of the kind of stuff we're looking for in their newest project. Then we had a brainstorming session of sorts and I made them laugh a lot the end.

More Jamaicans hit on me when I was pumping my gas today. One of them had a pink wicker basket and streamers on "his" bike. How strange.

So tonight's looking like: Bellydance 6-8 Advanced Ballet 8:30-9:30. In case you cared.

Oh yeah, I remember what else I wanted to write down so I wouldn't forget. Tara said I had a very confident aura about me. I thought that was neat. She said I'd have no problem with auditions in the future, which I was not expecting her to say. But she does not lie about that stuff. And if she was going to lie and say I had a promising future in the performing arts, I'd rather she just be honest anyway. But she is honest, so I guess that's my little inspiration-type-deal-thing for the day.

Subway cookies fucking OWN.

Oh yeah, Aaron and Bob in the Gr. 12 class were quoting Strong Bad today, Trogdor the Burninator style. Remind me to wear my Teen Girl Squad shirt in the near future.

Subway cookies fucking OWN. Really.
